Sony Xperia S, Shipping Date Delayed By UK Retailers

Posted on 31 Jan 2012 in Sony Ericsson

Sony Xperia S caught everyone’s attention at the CES but the smartphone is nowhere to be found for sale as promised. The flagship device should have arrived with the UK retailer Play by now, specifically January 30th for pre-order, but it seems plans have changed. The official date wasn’t so official after all. The UK retailer said that the new release date was moved to February 13 without explaining why this long delay. The asking price for the Xperia was set at around $708 by Play.

The Sony flagship device will also arrive with Clove, another UK retailer, but in March, 6th or 7h. In other news, Clove stated that they will offer the device SIM free as well, but only in the first week of that month. The delay of the smartphone’s release means that fans will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the Xperia S. Plus, the device will be presented at the MWC next month and we will take a look again at the device to see if we have the same reaction to it. Most likely, we will have the same reaction since this is a device that is worth waiting for.
