Microsoft Stops Pre-Orders For Nokia Lumia 900, Nokia To Announce Release Date And Price

Posted on 9 Feb 2012 in Microsoft, Nokia

Just a few days back, Microsoft announced that they are taking pre-orders for the Nokia Lumia 900. For $25 you could reserve the “idea” of being among the firsts to get their hands on the new Windows Phone smartphone. The Nokia Lumia 900 is expected to hit the US market March 18th with AT&T for $99 with a 2 year contract of course. Microsoft stopped the pre-orders and company officials said that those interested in the device should pay attention to the Facebook page of the company to find out other details.

We don’t know why Microsoft made this decision and no official reason was given to the public. However, The Verge said that Nokia is preparing to announce officially a release date for the device along with the asking price. The sudden change of heart could come from this announcement. The device will feature a 4.5 inch display, a 1.4 GHz single core processor and 512 MB RAM. Also, the device includes 16 GB of memory storage and an 8 mp camera on the rear plus a 1.3 mp camera on the front. AT&T will have exclusivity on the device for 45 days and after that we’re expecting to see it with other carriers in the US.
