LG DoublePlay for T-Mobile is Official

The last time we heard of the LG dual screen side sliding QWERTY phone was way back in June, sporting rather a low-end Android lesser than 2.2. However, LG and T-Mobile has officially launched the LG DoublePlay with higher specs than when it was first seen via a photo leak. To make the release even sweeter, 13 Contestants will be fighting for the title of “Fastest Texter in the US” and $50,000, using this fresh phone.

Upon release, the LG DoublePlay will be speeding up with a solo core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and will raise the sights as 2 screens of 3.5 inches on the main and 2.0 on the middle of the side slide QWERTY does its thing. It also comes with a 5MP rear camera that can record 720p video quality. Texting services include Cloud Text and Group Text for easier sending and flexible use on either PC or phone. All of these features are glazed with Android Gingerbread goodness.
