The latest collection comes from Gresso a Russian mobile phone manufacturer, called White Diamonds collection.The new collection includes two new mobiles called Gresso White Diamonds and Gresso Royal White Diamonds. The new White Diamonds Collection run on Windows Mobile 6 Standard, features inherit hand-assembled body panels made out of 200-year old African blackwood, keyboards with base plate made of titanium and stainless steel battery cover with a magnetic lock plus leather and gold decoration.All Gresso handsets commonly feature a tri-band GSM support, a 65K color TFT display QVGA resolution, a microSD memory card slot and a 2 megapixel camera.

The Gresso Royal White Diamonds is the more expensive one of the two and will be available in limited edition of 200 units only.All of its 23 gold keys are crowned with a total of 2.53K of white diamonds. It will be priced at 33000 euros i.e. approx. $52,000. (more…)

Yahoo! Go 3 Beta for Windows Mobile Released

Yahoo is jumping into the Windows Mobile platform with vigour, and has just released their new Yahoo! Go 3.0 beta for Windows Mobile, mobile phones.

The application’s user interface has undergone a overhaul and there is now full support for widgets aimed at providing information on the go. There is now an integrated at-a-glance Yahoo screen and improved oneSearch feature along with a comely Web 2.0-like feel and navigation to the application. All the data is stored in a “cloud” for easy retrieval on any other web-enabled device and since this would mean heavy data transfers, it would help if you had an unlimited data plan.

 Palm Zeppelin and Skywriter Phones Coming in 2008?

Smartphone blog TamsPPC say they received an email from Palm regarding developer submissions for two devices codenamed Zeppelin and Skywriter.Skywriter could be a Palm 500-style device with Windows Mobile 6.1, and they posted possible mockup of what appears to be a dev unit. There were no facts provided about the Zeppelin, but TamsPPC included a copy of the email they received and think the phones will hit the market in Q3 2008.Stay tuned for more information.

HP iPAQ 900 Series Business Messenger

The HP iPAQ 900 Series, just got approved by the FCC. Featuring a ton of goodies including GPS, HSDPA support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and more, this is one venerable all-in-one. Called a Business Messenger, the HP iPAQ 900 series is bundled with a Stylus and comes with a 1940 mAh Li-polymer rechargeable battery. For some reason, it is shipped with a wired stereo handset, but hey, it’s got Bluetooth, so I’m sure you’ll end up buying spankin’ wireless ones. Running on Windows Mobile 6, the device takes in microSD memory cards for added memory. There’s also an on-board 3-megapixel camera with flash.No word on the pricing or availability yet.

Samsung unveiled a new Windows Mobile smartphone, the Samsung SGH-i900 During a Dutch telecom event called “Televisie 2008″ .Samsung confirmed that SGH-i900 runing with Windows Mobile 6.1.
While most specs are unknown or at least unconfirmed yet, it’s known that the i900 will feature at least triband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as singleband UMTS/HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and WiFi b/g. While not yet confirmed, sources said the i900 also sports GPS and an FM radio.
The 3.5″ screen is expected to have a Windows Mobile unusual resolution of 240×400 pixel and the autofocus camera is expected to support 5 megapixel. Last but not least, Samsung’s newest smartphone should include at least 8 GB of memory.

A price or release date isn’t known yet but if Samsung is already ready to show it on events, a release in summer is most likely. But neither the specs above nor the estimated release date are confirmed yet.
