The Associated Press reports that analysts look forward to Motorola to distribute 900,000 DROID smartphones in the quarter and that though DROID shipments are meeting expectations, problems with the CLIQ are affecting sales.

The Motorola CLIQ, launched with T-Mobile, is having problems on battery life, therefore causing T-Mobile to trim down marketing for the device, thus affecting sales. Oppenheimer analyst Ittai Kidron says that although the company is missing its shipping goals, the earnings will stay unaffected.
