Apple’s iPhone distribution of more than a million items in three uninterrupted quarters enable them to smash records. And even when the 2nd-quarter deliveries slumped down (probably because of the new 3G iPhone), Apple has remained to be the 2nd placer for the 1st half of 2008, with Motorola on the 3rd place.

Meanwhile, Motorola topped the US Mobile Handset vendor with 25% share. However, the 1st placer struggles in the productive and quick-rising Smartphone industry. In fact, Motorola was the single dealer with 2-digits drop for both quarterly and annual growth in the second quarter of 2008.

Best Buy Co. is the first U.S. chain to vend out Apple’s iPhone besides Apple Inc.’s and AT&T Inc.’s very own establishments.

After declaring the finishing point of a 2-year assembly of the Best Buy Mobile trademark last week, Best Buy has advanced its computer systems to manage mobile phone inauguration and spent thousands of hours educating its employees. According to Best Buy management, Smartphones will be the spotlight for the Best Buy Mobile.

Best Buy is also the single certified 3rd-party retailer of Sprint Nextel Corp.’s Samsung Instinct.
