
Freescale Semiconductor has publicized its smartbook tablet reference design at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The tablet design has an i.MX414 processor with ARM Cortex A8 technology, a 7-inch touch screen display, 512MB of RAM, 4-64GB of storage, 3G connectivity, and a target price tag below $200. Smartbooks are like a combination of mobile internet devices and netbooks. It presents a smaller form factor and a lower power envelope for longer battery life. The said gadgets are perfect for gaming, mobile video, and social networking.

Samsung’s Go netbook computer will be launched with AT&T’s network. The Go weighs only 2.8lbs and features a 10.1-inch WSVGA display as well as 3G connectivity. The device is powered by Microsoft’s new Windows 7 operating system. It includes 1GB of DDR2 RAM and a 160GB hard drive, and WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Samsung Go will be available November 22 in AT&T stores and online. However, price has not been announced yet.

The TwitterPeek has already been launched by Peek. Surprisingly, the mobile device functions as a dedicated Twitter portable gadget that allows unlimited access to Twitter, enabling users the ability to read and see tweets, send direct messages, etc. Users can also view pictures posted to twitpic.com.
The TwitterPeek’s battery claims 3-4 days standby time. It is available in aqua or charcoal color schemes for $99.99 with six-months of service included or $199.99 for the device and a lifetime service plan.

Verizon Wireless already offers new HP Mini netbook computers namely the HP Mini 311-1037NR and the HP Mini 110-1046NR.
The HP Mini 311-1037NR features an 11.6-inch display, a 1.6GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 160GB hard drive and more. It also includes Windows 7 and is available now for $249.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a two-year customer agreement. On the other hand, the HP Mini 110-1046NR comes with Windows XP installed and features a 10.1-inch screen, a 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM, and a 160GB hard drive, along with 3G and WiFi data connectivity and is available in mid-November for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a two-year contract.
