AT&T declares an expanded global coverage for international travelers. The new project will give way to 50 data Megabytes in 67 countries for only $60/month. Also, AT&T’s www.att.com/travelguide generates a route with information of up to 10 international destinations. AT&T has increased the number of countries, from 41 to 67, wherein discounted rates for data are being offered.

Via AT&T’s expanded coverage, every international subscriber can call and accept calls in more than 200 countries. Sending email and browsing the web is equally possible in more than 150 countries, including more than 60 countries with 3G coverage.

AT&T has also made news about its latest AT&T Navigator Global Edition for international navigation capabilities, which supplies comprehensive directions in the six Olympic cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao, Shenyang, Tianjin and Qinhuangdao as well as most western European countries, North America and the U.S. Caribbean.

This is music to global travellers ears; AT&T’s Navigator service is available in a new Global Edition of the software and it will provide navigation capabilities in 20 countires. The cost of this service is a $19.98 monthly charge so you know its target market is rich business men who travel frequently. Most of Europe, the Caribbean and six Chnese cites are now available, which is great as the Olympics are just around the corner.

AT&T wireless announced Pantech Breeze.The handset have a large color display with a resolution of 128×160. The quad band Breeze comes with a VGA camera, Bluetooth and uniquely designed quick call keys under the display.

The entry level clamshell is priced at $49.99 with a 2 year service agreement.

AT&T’s LaptopConnect customers can now access more than 17,000 Wi-Fi hot spots free of charge. Users can access Wi-Fi at nearly 7,000 participating Starbucks locations plus thousands more AT&T Wi-FiSM locations, including restaurants, airports, hotels and other convenient locations across the United States. AT&T also offers free Wi-Fi access to qualifying broadband subscribers. The company plans to expand free Wi-Fi access to additional wireless customers in the future.

The offer is available to customers who subscribe to a DataConnect plan of $59.99 or more.

AT&T has officially launched two new variants of popular handsets online, with availability in the retail stores for a few days before online listing.The Sony Ericsson W580i in Jungle Green is now available for $79.99 after new 2 year agreement before an additional $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $29.99 while the LG Shine in Black is now available for $149.99 after new 2 year agreement before an additional $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $99.99.

The Sony Ericsson W580i is now available in a striking color AT&T dubs Jungle Green,run with a 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, MemoryStick M2 expansion slot, QVGA display, and speakerphone.

The LG Shine, taken from the renowned Black Label series of high-end LG handsets is now available in a more formal black color while still featuring the mirror finish on the QVGA display that the phone is named after, as well as a built-in media player, microSDHC expansion slot, media player, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder and flash, and HSDPA high speed data access.
