Blackberry Users Are Older Than Other Smartphone Users, Report Shows
There was a study made by folks at comScore regarding the Blackberry users and their age. It seems that, according to them, people that use phones designed by RIM are older, meaning that most of them are between 55 and 64 years old. There is also a smaller segment for people above 35, but in a smaller scale. Surprisingly or not, this report was no new news for people so no one was surprised.

In the same study, results showed that people who own a Blackberry are wealthier than people who have other smartphones. They said that these people have an income of over $75,000 compared to regular users. Plus, it seems that the monthly bills are paid by the employer. It’s a known fact that devices created by RIM are very popular in the enterprise world and that’s why these stats do not come as a s surprise. Even more, after the downfall of RIM, their devices are getting less “cool” meaning that people between 18 and 24 don’t own a Blackberry and they probably never will. Perhaps if RIM will pick up the pace and design some amazing devices, they will attract on their side the categories of ages that clearly have no interest in buying from them.
