Now that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is on the way, it only means that people itching for the ICS update are impatiently waiting to get their own dose of sweet goodness in their devices. As seen with the rollout on Gingerbread, others are hopeful to have newer Samsung gadgets get the ICS as soon as it becomes available for a firmware update by either OTA or Kies. Apparently, Samsung Italy has confirmed that 4.0 will be out to certain smartphones and tablets by early 2012.

The first few lucky ones will include the Samsung Galaxy SII, Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. Aside from the official release of the ICS in the new Nexus, other phones such as the Motorola Droid RAZR and the Nexus S will also be graced with the development. For lower end devices, looks like you need to stay tuned as Samsung gets back to you or you may check out some other developer working on it.
