PUMA and Sagem Wireless recently launched the PUMA Phone which boasts of a 2.8-inch touch screen with a 320 x 350 resolution, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash, FM radio player, and support for video chat using a front-facing camera. The device measures 102mm x 56mm x 13mm (4in x 2.2in x .5in), and features a GPS run tracker, GPS bike speedometer, a pedometer, a yachting compass, and an analogue stopwatch. The back plate carries a solar panel for charging although it lacks a typical smartphone OS. The PUMA Phone will be available in Europe and online beginning this April, with introductions into other markets expected later.
