magicJack discovered a plug and play femtocell that lets your cell phone place phone calls through magicJack’s “Voice Network” that will work with any mobile phone and that the service is not dependent on a network. magicJack claims that, with the $20-per-year service, users will simply have to walk within eight feet of a magicJack femtocell to initiate a connection before they are free to walk around the “range of a 3000 square foot house.” This feature is powered by YMAX that distributes 1 billion minutes per month to its customers with 99.9 percent reliability.
