NTIA prefers non-sharing of spectrum

Lawrence Strickling, head of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), called on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to release more radio spectrum so that wireless internet companies can contend healthier alongside plans presented by cable and phone providers. According to the Associated Press, the NTIA suggested that the FCC scrutinize ways to make distribution spectrum more well-organized and said that the FCC should consider reallocating some of the spectrum that’s currently controlled by commercial or government users.
