AndroLib.com says that the Android Market has over 20,000 apps available to date. T-Mobile, on the other hand, is announcing a branded section of the Android Market that will display its top application picks. The T-Mobile Top Picks section suggests apps that T-Mobile customers can install on their Android-based devices. The tool will be available to customers in the coming weeks for devices with Android 1.1, 1.5, and 1.6.

Meanwhile, Google said that AndroLib’s numbers are exaggerated, and that the Android Market has over 16,000 applications, not 20,000 figure.
