
Samsung has just unveiled the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Spica, the Android-powered smartphone that features a 800MHz processor that helps it to be the first Android smartphone with support for DivX videos. The handset is a quad-band GSM/EDGE phone that also supports 3.2Mbps HSDPA data speeds on the 900 and 2100MHz UMTS bands. It features a 3.2-inch Half-VGA (320 x 480 pixel) TFT capacitive touchscreen display and also sports a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus. The Galaxy Spica comes pre-loaded with the full suite of Google services, including Google Maps, Gmail, and YouTube, and runs on the Android 1.5 “Cupcake” operating system.
