U.S. Cellular has launched the Motorola Quantico, a rugged clamshell handset built to military specifications, designed to withstand water submersion and tough weather conditions. The Motorola Quantico can survive submersion of up to one meter of water for thirty minutes. Its casing is made from chrome, glass, and rubber, and is build to survive extreme temperature, dust, shock, and poor weather conditions. It also features Bluetooth for use with hands-free headsets and headphones, features a 1.3 megapixel camera, and has support for microSD cards, as well. GPS technology gives the handset turn-by-turn navigation functionality.

The Motorola Quantico is available now from U.S. Cellular for $99.95 after a two-year customer agreement and mail-in rebate.
