The Motorola CLIQ is finally coming very, very soon on T-Mobile USA! Marked as the Motorola’s first-ever Android smartphone. The CLIQ would be available starting October 19 of this year at $199.99 with a 2-year agreement. However, feedbacks have it that the price of the handset was set too high, which might cause future sales problem.
T-Mobile USA said that the unit will also come with a free car charger.

Garmin-ASUS, together with AT&T, has publicized the nuvifone G60, a touchscreen phone that runs on Linux and boasts of features like a 3.55-inch WQVGA display, a 3.0 megapixel autofocus camera, and 4GB of internal memory. The nuvifone G60 provides hassle-free email browsing, messaging, photo-sharing, and social networking. It functions as a navigation device and is loaded with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Garmin-ASUS nuvifone G60 will be available on October 4 for $299 with a two-year customer agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate.

MetroPCS and Motorola have made the Motorola VE440 official. The device basically concentrates on multimedia and features Bluetooth technology, a music player, a web browser, etc. Also loaded on the phone is a 3.5mm audio jack, a 1.3 megapixel camera with digital zoom, GPS connectivity, and access to MetroPCS’ ChatLINK push-to-talk service, while its battery offers 4.5 hours of standard talk time.
The Motorola VE440 will be available in the third quarter of this year. Pricing and exact availability have not been announced.

LG has announced the LG Chocolate BL20, the latest from the company’s Chocolate edition. The handset appears with a piano black color and red accent all in a 12.3mm body. It boasts of a 3G data connectivity, a sliding keypad, hidden touch-navigation keys, and touch sensitive side controls. It also carries a 5.0 megapixel autofocus camera, a TextScan software feature, a microSD card slot, and a built-in FM radio.
Other features of the the LG BL20 include a QVGA (240 x 320 pixel) resolution display, tri-band (900/1800/1900MHz) GSM/EDGE and dual-band (900/2100MHz) UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, and a battery with 18 days of standby time or 5 hours of talk time from a full charge. Bluetooth wireless devices and email are also supported.
The LG Chocolate BL20 will be available in the UK from O2 by the end of this year.

Apple again broke its history. Just recently, the company announced that the iPhone App Store already has over two billion application download from the AppStore. To date, the App Store has more than 85,000 applications, while more or less 125,000 external developers have registered in the iPhone Developer Program.
Apple’s last announcement regarding application downloads was made in April 2009 wherein the company claimed over one million downloads and 35,000 available applications. Last July, Apple incidentally followed its April announcement by another with 1.5 billion application downloads and 65,000 apps.
