Sony just gave birth to the Daily Edition, a new model in its line of eReader devices that uses AT&T’s 3G data network to download books from Sony’s online bookstore. Daily Edition is priced at $399 and comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display. It can store up to 1,000 books where readers can view content in both landscape and portrait views and lets users change pages by using a touchscreen display.

Furthermore, Sony announced a deal with OverDrive so that the readers could “borrow” e-books from public library systems. It would also enable users to download titles from Google Books.
