Nokia is making another breakthrough via the Nokia Money, a mobile financial service built in cooperation with Obopay, a mobile payment platform. Nokia Money will allow users to send money to individuals with a mobile phone number, pay merchants, pay utility bills, and fill prepaid SIM cards. Users will also be able to purchase travel and movie tickets. Though the focus seems to be on mobile payment services, the company suggests that users will have access to basic financial tools as well.
The Nokia Money will be available early quarter next year. Next week, an exhibit will be set at the Nokia World.
