Sprint has just unveiled the HTC Touch Pro 2, a business smartphone that carries a full QWERTY keyboard and a massive tilting 3.6-inch 800 x 480 pixel (WVGA) resistive touchscreen(INFO) display.
The handset features both EV-DO Rev. A 3G data as well as WiFi.
The HTC Touch Pro 2 provides access to various Sprint services and applications such as Sprint Navigation and Sprint TV. It also features HTC TouchFLO 3D user interface as well as Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system. The handset will be available on September 8 at a price of $349.99 with a 2-year contract.

Iphone’s App Store has just introduced Facebook 3.0, the latest version of Facebook. Through this app, users can see the News Feed and extended networks, they can even search for new people. The app also enables the users to view and RSVP for upcoming events and see their favorite friends’ birthdays, while videos and photos can be easily uploaded via its latest photo management access.
Version 3.0 of the Facebook iPhone application is available from App Store for free and clean of the confidential bug issue.

Sirius XM Radio has announced XM SkyDock, which accommodates the iPhone or iPod touch device and includes a flexible arm for the best in-car view. The gadget comes with a free App Store application to control and browse though all SIRIUS XM programming. The app lets users tag songs to purchase later from the iTunes Store and it includes sports tickers, song alerts, and a stock ticker.
The XM SkyDock and the XM SkyDock App will be available for US$119.99 in fall 2009, pending evaluation by the Federal Communication Commission.

Nokia has just unveiled the N900, an QWERTY slider phone and the company’s first Maemo Linux-powered smartphone. The handset boasts of an ARM Cortex-A8 600MHz processor and 256MB of RAM along with 786MB of virtual memory. It also carries a 3.5-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixel) resistive touchscreen display, a 5.0 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual-LED flash, and a built-in aGPS technology. (more…)

Nokia is making another breakthrough via the Nokia Money, a mobile financial service built in cooperation with Obopay, a mobile payment platform. Nokia Money will allow users to send money to individuals with a mobile phone number, pay merchants, pay utility bills, and fill prepaid SIM cards. Users will also be able to purchase travel and movie tickets. Though the focus seems to be on mobile payment services, the company suggests that users will have access to basic financial tools as well.
The Nokia Money will be available early quarter next year. Next week, an exhibit will be set at the Nokia World.
