China Telecom confirmed that it will offer BlackBerry. In fact, an insider said that the two companies have just started preliminary contacts. Goldman Sachs analyst Helen Zhu said, “We view a potential tie-up of China Telecom and BlackBerry as a positive but not a game changer.”

China Mobile has already offered BlackBerry handsets in China for two years but has not been heavily promoting the device. Meanwhile, its competitor, China Unicom is already discussing with Apple regarding iPhone.
