Garmin Ltd. is set to distribute its Nuvifone wireless phone in Asia by July 2009. This was actually confirmed by Cliff Pemble, Chief Operating Officer of Garmin Ltd., last Friday.

The Nuvifone was already announced last January 2008, and with this, Garmin believed that the handset is what could give the company a step forward. To recap, Garmin’s profit in 2008 increase by 10%, but annual profits decreased by 9.6%. Garmin shares fell 20 cents to $23.09 in trading Friday.
