Sprint is soon launching the Novatel MiFi 2200 intelligent hotspot, a WiFi router with a 3G mobile broadband connection that allows users to access the Internet on WiFi-enabled devices. The device allows connection of up to five laptops, MP3 players and gaming devices to Sprint’s EV-DO Rev. A mobile broadband network.
Sprint is laying down two plans for the service, a $59.99 per month data plan specifically for the device and a $149.99 per month Simply Everything plan that includes phone and MiFi connectivity. Both plans offer 5GB of data per month. The Novatel Wireless MiFi 2200 mobile hotspot will be available in the first week of June for $99.99 after a two-year customer agreement and a $50 mail-in rebate.
