So that the Mac users will have hassle-free access to the iTunes, Palm Pre will provide iTunes support. This would allow a very basic process of transforming DRM-free music, photos and videos to your Palm Pre. As said by Palm, the Pre will instantly acknowledge the Palm Pre as soon as the users connect it to a computer through USB and choose the “media sync” option on the device. From there the user would be able to select which DRM-free files to modify.

Google has laid down its plan of releasing up to 20 Android-powered smartphones before the end of year 2009. Andy Rubin, senior director for mobile platforms at Google, said that the handsets would be fabricated 8 to 9 various manufacturers. To date, there are only two Android-based phones available, the HTC-manufactured ‘Dream’ offered by T-Mobile across many of its markets, and the HTC ‘Magic’ in Europe.

Meanwhile, Google emphasized that Android is an ‘open’ platform. In fact, it has drew out 3 models of how the Android app store will work for outside developers.

LG seems to be collaborating with social network sites these days. To date, the company is releasing another handset to favor those social networking aficionados. The said mobile phone will be called the LG GW520 and will also feature a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a high-speed 3G HSDPA data connectivity, a 3 megapixel camera, and a 2.8-inch touchscreen display. It will provide access to the LG LiveSquare that allows users to add custom animated characters to their homescreen to represent the friends and family they call the most.

The LG GW520 will be available across most UK networks in June.

LG unveils a mobile phone that can basically serve as a portal to social network websites. The new handset is labeled as the GT505.

The GT505 features a 3-inch touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera, a 3G HSDPA connectivity, and WiFi connection. Through it, users can immediately receive updates from their favorite social networks. Status messages, profiles, and photos can be manipulated easily directly from the GT505.

The LG GT505 will be available on Orange UK in June.

Nokia introduces the Nokia 6730 classic, a mobile phone that is rich in both in form and function. The Nokia 6730 is powered by S60 and is perfect for mobile Internet and navigation services. The handset also includes access to turn-by-turn directions, a point-of-interest database and yellow pages information. It will provide access to Vodafone Music Client and personal and business email access. According to Nokia, the 6730 classic is really packed with power-saving features.

The 6730 classic will begin shipping in June for Vodafone.
