Apple finally released the iPhone OS 3.0 beta 4 together with the iTunes 8.2 that is significant in updating the new iPhone software. A panel with a label that read “Store” on the iPhone is said to be occupied with iTunes account information, and legal copy related with the About window in iTunes particularly points out DVD and Blu-ray metadata. Gossips have it that it could stand for playback support in the future.

There have been a lot of feedbacks regarding Samsung Epix’s software. According to reports, an error dialogue that reads “forced Slog Dump” is received from time to time by the users of the device.  On the other hand, AT&T is said to have issued an update to repair the problem, but there is gossip that the action causes a freezing issue when the phone attempts to dial out. AT&T has no official statement on the Epix issues yet.

The Samsung S8300 UltraTOUCH, which is known as the Tocco Ultra Edition in UK and as the Player Ultra in France, was announced by Samsung during the 2009 Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona. And though this gadget is called with different names, one thing is certain — it is one mobile phone that is ultimate both in form and in function.

The Samsung UltraTOUCH carries a 12-key keypad and two-stage camera shutter button. It weighs 123.5g and measures 110mm x 52mm x 13mm when closed.

HTC’s newest innovation, the HTC XV6175, is soon to be displayed under Verizon Wireless. The XV6175 comes in a stylish black color scheme and is run by Windows Mobile Standard Edition. It is rumored to be carrying a complete QWERTY keyboard, but other than that, no other features were yet disclosed. A word of mouth is spreading that the HTC XV6175 will somewhat be similar to the HTC Snap specially in terms of its GSM/UMTS.

According to reports, Nokia is scheduled to lay off another 360 jobs in its Internet Services unit as it continues to fold operations into Ovi Store. Nokia is set to compete with Apple’s App Store, and as of now, Nokia’s market is becoming larger than Apple’s. While Nokia has already tap 50 million customers who use Nokia devices, Apple has only sold 20 million of its iPhone and iPod Touch devices. However, Nokia announced a decrease of 90% in its net profit for this month. This is basically the reason why the company is cutting annual costs at its handset unit alone by more than 700 million euros (US$911 million).
