Research in Motion is planning to update its BlackBerry Internet Service to version 2.6. With this, the users would be able to have the option of displaying password characters when configuring BIS, making it easier to enter third-party e-mail address passwords. This would also improve support and error messages, thus, it would be able to deliver unique PIN messages with instructions on how to best integrate with BlackBerry smartphones.

With the planned new version, users can also access a WAP login to change e-mail signatures when using the BlackBerry e-mail application.
