Apple will begin selling its iPhone 3G smartphones without the usual 2-year contract starting March 26. Michael Coe, Spokesman of AT&T, confirmed this information. Corresponding prices for the said gadgets would be $599 for the 8GB model and $699 for the 16GB model. The phones will still be locked to AT&T’s network and there are no plans to offer prepaid service for the smartphone
