Shown above are the images of the solar-powered mobile phone from LG that was introduced during the Mobile Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Being environmentally friendly that it is, the mobile phone’s rear is fabricated with photovoltaic cells to provide enough solar energy to power up the phone’s battery without ever using a wall charger. Through this, less power consumption can definitely be expected.

As mentioned by LG, ten minutes of direct sunlight exposure provides enough charge for a 3-minute talk time. LG is scheduled to release this device later this year.
