To battle with economic crisis, LG has planned to do more low-cost phones this year. This, indeed, would strengthen their strengths and would enable them to have a fair share in the global market.  In 2008, LG disclosed that it had over 100.7 million total sales, this year, they are anticipating more.

Meanwhile, Samsung declared that the company is planning to increase their handset sales by 200 million this year.
