AT&T has announced the Pantech Matrix Pro, a smartphone with a dual-sliding double-keyboard (whatever that means…) powered by Windows Mobile 6.1. According to AT&T, the gadget carries a qwerty keyboard to support e-mailing, text messaging, and any other exhaustive compositions. Meanwhile, access to MobiTV, Napster Mobile, eMusic Mobile, AT&T Mobile Banking and CV on-demand video is allowed on the phone via AT&T’s courtesy. Michael Woodward, Vice President of Smart Devices for AT&T Mobility, said “”The Matrix Pro is a significant evolution in this dual-sliding family of phones…The Matrix Pro will appeal to anyone who wants a powerful smartphone with a great design.”

The Pantech Matrix Pro is set to be released by February 24, 2009 at $180 after a two-year service agreement and a $50 mail-in rebate.
