Skype users can now save from making mobile phone calls. How? Read this…

A number of mobile phone carriers are currently having ’shaking knees’ with regards to Skype’s full support of the Google’s Android. The carriers are anticipating decreased revenue if ever their subscribers starts to make calls over the Web instead of their regular voice service because now,  skype is offering its latest “lite” version.

Skype’s  “lite” version can be downloaded to 100 different Java-powered mobile phones, including the Google’s open-source Android platform, for ‘no charge’. This application will enable the users to make free Skype-to-Skype calls. Landline and cell phone calls are also available in 10 countries: the United States, Britain, Poland, Brazil, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Australia and New Zealand, for a very minimal cost.

The Android-powered mobile phones includes the T-Mobile G1, while the Java-powered ones are from LG, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson.
