AT&T is reported to have been offering reconditioned iPhone 3G until Dec 31 for a very low price of $99 per unit. Actually, the price is $99 for 8 gigabytes and $199 for 16 gigabytes. Well, some of you might say that this offer is too good to be true, but I don’t think AT&T will ruin its image by handing out troubled refurbished iPhones.

Reconditioned iPhones are those that are being returned during the 30-day trial period. Besides some slight scratches, the units are very much in good condition, functions well, and is loaded with complete perks similar to that of its brand new counterpart. Selling reconditioned mobile phones is actually one program that is already being practiced in some Asian countries. Yes, it could be quite degrading for those who are protecting their status quo but let’s face it — it is still wonderful to save, isn’t it?
