
After Palm has disclosed its loss for the second quarter of its 2009 fiscal year, the company discussed a new business strategy. During a press conference that was held in Las Vegas, Palm’s CEO announced that a Linux-based operating system called Nova will be introduced very soon for its next line of mobile phones. In fact, the first model is scheduled to be presented in the first half of 2009.
Approximately $508.6 million was reported by Palm as its net loss for the said quarter of which 78% was attributed to the court case that is related to the change in status of some deferred tax assets.
