In a quest to predict the advances and the role of technology in 2020, an online survey was conducted in cooperation with the Elon University in North Carolina on an ‘Agree’ and ‘Disagree’ scale.
As a result, 22% agreed that the cellphone is the primary Internet connection and the only one for a majority of the people across the world, providing information in a portable, well-connected form at a relatively low price; 64% agreed that ‘talk and touch’ are common technology interfaces in 2020; 55% agreed that many lives are touched by the use of augmented reality or spent interacting in artificial spaces; 60% agreed that content control through copyright-protection technology dominates in 2020.
Indeed, cellphone could be the most significant Web tool in 2020.
