The new Windows Mobile-powered tri-fold mobile phone called the iCEphone was introduced at the recently held 3GSM Asia in Macau. The smartphone was conceptualized and built by TheMedicalPhone and is set to be released in the second quarter of 2009.
To start with, iCEphone boasts of a very unique three-sectioned winning body that gives its owners various options on ways to use it. One of the gadget’s three panels is exclusively dedicated to a complete QWERTY keyboard. The other is for a keypad that supports mobile gaming. Finally, the last panel features its huge 3 inches touchscreen display.
The question is ‘Why was the phone called iCEphone?’ Well, “iCE” means ‘in Case of Emergency’. And, basically, an emergency button was incorporated in the phone so that when it is pressed, a signal or alarm will be delivered to different emergency services in the area via GPS locator.
