UK’s PageOne has just unveiled another version of its MoodleMobile.

MoodleMobile is a text messaging service that allows plug-in module with 2-way messaging functionality. The first version was released early in 2008. Below is the statement of Clair Cawley, Marketing Director at PageOne:

We are constantly striving to enhance our services, hence the launch of the 2-way functionality within the MoodleMobile module at BETT. PageOne is pleased to be able to show how technology can successfully help educational institutions to quickly and efficiently communicate with students on a number of important issues including student timetabling, financial payments, appointment reminders, registration and enrolment, truancy, parent notification, library returns, classroom notifications and exam results.”

Nokia intends to amaze the e-gadgets market by unveiling the stunning Nokia 8800 Princess Edition.

The Nokia 8800 Princess Edition is set with 8.2 carats of diamonds in the front and back of its solid platinum housing. Marked as ‘a gadget for the rich’, this high-end mobile phone is priced at £12,000 or US$16,750 and will be available for sale starting January 2009. Each units of the Nokia Princess will be individually packed in a granite or marble box with a handmade leather seam line.

After asking Thailand’s top three Telecom operators namely AIS, DTAC, and True for the favor of sending text messages to Thailand locales that will ask them to cooperate with the prime minister in solving the country’s crisis, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjavjia himself has received various criticisms from the Thai people. According to the PM’s detractors, this SMS action was definitely an invasion of their privacy.

The text messages encourage the interested citizens to send back their postal codes for only 3 baht which will, in turn, assist the government in pin-pointing the part of the country that are eager to help solve the current crisis.

Prime Minister Vejjavjia has apologized to its citizens.

Another wristwatch phone has been brought into the world of mobile phones courtesy of LG, but this time, the gadget boasts of a touchscreen.

Labeled as LG GD910, the wristwatch cellphone is armed with 3G support with HSDPA for high-speed data transfers. A built-in Bluetooth is also on board. GD910 can also facilitate video conferencing, text-to-speech technology, and speech-to-text technology. It can even read messages and other information for the user’s convenience.

No details on LG GD910 pricing was yet released.
