Recently, a certain virus attacking Google’s Android and Apple’s iPhone has been publicized for mass awareness. Now, the next target is reported to be Windows-Mobile-powered phones. The culprit –a Windows CE/Mobile polymorphic “companion” virus. Well, that’s according to a web article posted by McAfee Avert Labs last Thursday. McAfee is working hard to combat the virus though while it is still in a low threat level.

Meanwhile, researchers in the Georgia Tech Information Security Center (GTISC) made a forecast for 2009 that mobile threats will rank as number one in terms of mobile phone risks with hand-held phones being the most susceptible to virus attacks.
