
Verizon has finally settled the case filed against it by Klausner Technologies for a patent of visual voice technology. Klausner Technologies had Verizon penalized for the lawsuit. The bottomline: Verizon agreed to apply for a license of Klausner’s patents thus settling their undischarged legal proceeding.
Other companies to license Klausner’s patents includes Vonage, eBay, AT&T, and Sprint. Verizon Wireless is in fact its fifteenth. Meanwhile, other companies with pending legal proceeding with Klausner are Google, LG Electronics, Comverse, Citrix, Cox Communications and Embarq.
Klausner said it granted Verizon Wireless a patent license related to voice message alerts.
