
The financial results for the third quarter has been publicized by Verizon and reports revealed the following: US$12.7 billion revenue, a 12.5% increase compared to last year, and a 28.3% growth in data revenue.
Its acquisition of Rural Cellular is completely done which resulted to approximately additional 630,000 new subscribers, 120,000 of which it expects to lose in an exchange agreement it has worked out with a competing carrier. Verizon’s financial documents show that by the end of the quarter, more than 60% of its customers were using 3G handsets.
