Lately, Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X1 smartphone has been on FCC’s website. As stated in the documents, the handset was tried and tested only for AT&T’s 1900MHz UMTS network band, not mentioning the 1700MHz and 850MHz bands established in the file. The initial specifications for the cellphone includes 2 quad-band UMTS versions, which are the 850/1700/1900/2100MHz and 900/1700/1900/2100MHz respectively.  Sony Ericsson has inveterated that neither X1 will tender support for UMTS on the AWS frequency bands.

The Xperia X1 is a slider handset with a complete QWERTY keyboard under its huge WVGA (800×480 pixel) touchscreen display. It also boasts of a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and video capture and a microSD card slot for extra storage
