Since the release of both iPhone 2.0 and 2.0.1, different issues were raised by the users regarding Apple’s network signal, battery, and the like. These are the exact reason of the company for coming up with the iPhone 2.1.
Designed to address the said issues, Apple rolled out iPhone 2.1 and created positive feedback from users thereafter. To date, addition of new icons for both 3G and EDGE modes as well as a noticeable enhancement in reception from 2.0.1 next to the additional alerts for incoming and waiting messages has been evident. Improvements in Contacts, SMS, and application were also remarkable.
The update is now available from iTunes and requires iTunes 8.0 in order to perform the update.
