Bluetooth spam is mostly just a pushed advertisement, so it’s safe and OK. This is what the Mobile Marketing Association declares.

Furthermore, the Mobile Marketing Association, which is based in the U.S., explains that spam comes into a user’s mail inbox only because the device is set into a ‘discoverable’ mode. Otherwise, any floating spam will be prevented from entering one’s inbox.

To resolve this growing concern, the Direct Marketing Association advises every users to set their handsets into a ‘hidden’ mode so that any spam will be prevented access to the gadget. However, this is not a guarantee that it would completely block any Bluetooth advertisement.
