The news has reported that Sprint Nextel is to sell off iDEN, and sources notify that the business discussions regarding the company’s plan is not to be considered ‘simply’ casual. Although the deal is expected to be months away, it is anticipated to be exceptionally difficult because of the combination between Sprint’s CDMA and iDEN networks and would possibly entail long-term service contracts involving Sprint and ‘the other’ institution to acquire iDEN (whichever it is).
