
Delta, in partnership of Aircell, an airborne communications supplier, is conniving to install the network on the carrier’s domestic fleet of more than 330 aircrafts. Wi-Fi service will be accessible for an amount to clientele traveling all over the continental U.S. according to an Atlanta-based company.
Delta Air Lines will propose broadband wireless Internet on its domestic fleet by the mid of 2009. It will work in a way wherein the system will permit clients traveling with Wi-Fi enabled devices, such as laptops, smartphones and PDAs, to access the Internet during air travel. $9.95 will be billed on flights of up to 3 hours, and $12.95 on flights of more than 3 hours.
