Both LG and Dolby have arrived at a pact that will formulate the first cell phone to integrate the technology of Dolby’s system into its units. Some of the features that would be incorporated in LG cellphones are Mobile Surround, Sound Space Expander, Natural Bass, High Frequency Enhancer, Graphic EQ, Sound Level Control, and Mono-to-Stereo Converter.

According to Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile, the company believes that this technology will raise the bar for audio quality on multimedia phones and expect Dolby Mobile to help them create a new trend in the mobile phone industry. He further said that LG is committed to providing their customers with the best features available and their new collaboration with Dolby helps them deliver on this pledge.

LG is reported to commence high-end multimedia phones with Dolby Mobile technology beginning the fourth quarter this year.

As of today, T-Mobile announced the Sidekick Shells – a chance for users to design their own Sidekick cellphones by making use of their own photos, graphic designs, patterns, texts, icons, or logos. After drafting, designs will be custom-printed into the cellphone housing. When done, images of these personally-designed units can be forwarded to a public gallery authored by www.sidekickshells.com.

Added features include a 2.0-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth for photo and file transfers, text and email, and Instant Messaging. The Sidekick Shells is ready with a huge internal memory for storage and an adaptable web surfing.

The new Sidekick Shells has incorporated a Spanish user interface - the first for a Sidekick device.

The future of mobile phone gaming now lies in 3D graphic chips, at least that’s how the majority of cellphone users are thinking, especially for the high-end phones like the Nokia N-series. But while N95 and N82 have these 3D graphic gaming, why is it that their next models did not follow the trend? What’s happening, Nokia?

When Nokia introduced its latest N-Gage platform, countless cellphone players have commented about 3D chips making a share. But despite the N95 and N82’s 3D chips feature, Nokia’s supreme N96 is 3D-chipless even though it boasts of having this N-Gage-compatibility. Again, what’s happening, Nokia?
