The much-buzzed about Motorola ROKR E8 finally gets set for launching by T-Mobile on July 7.

With word about the ROKR E8 going around the mobile scene as far back as September of last year, many were curious and have waited for the actual coming of the handset that prides itself with amazingly clear calls and awesome musical experience – AND the highly-acclaimed proprietary technology that makes it very easy to shift between the two.

The ROKR E8 is the first ever device to showcase Motorola’s breakthrough ModeShift technology that allows for instant shifting from phone to music player function, and vice-versa, in just a touch of a button. In the absence of visible keys, the ROKR E8’s surface looks smooth when the handset is turned off. Once it’s powered on, a virtual keypad appears. A virtual music key serves to instantly toggle from phone keypad to music player control keys, while Innovative haptics mechanism takes care of the virtual keys’ tactile response.

Call clarity is another outstanding trait of the ROKR E8, and this is made possible by the integration of a patented CrystalTalk technology that works to neutralize surrounding noise.

Musical navigation comes very convenient with the ROKR’s FastScroll wheel that allows for quick strolling through even a thousand tracks. Moving music between the phone and a computer is easy owing to total compatibility with Windows Media Player 11. All these actions can be viewed through the ROKR’s large, 2-inch QVGA 262k color screen.

Added notable features of the Motorola ROKR E8 include an integrated 2-megapixel camera with video, 8x zooming and multi-shoot capabilities, 2 GB of internal memory with support for up to 4 GB card add-on, and an HTML capable browser.
