Nokia proved unperturbed with the success of the iPhone, as it pulled back the veils obscuring the public’s itching eyes on the handset that would rival the Apple wonder.

Dubbed as the “Tube,” the Nokia 5800 sports a touchscreen display similar to that of the iPhone. The Tube’s edge lies in its impressive display of 16 million colors and 360×640-pixel resolution that matches perfectly with its 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus function, all flaunted in three inches of length.

The hi-end Nokia Tube comes 3-G ready with quadband, GPRS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi features thrown in with the GPS support that enables photo geo-tagging. A 3.5 mm headphone jack and TV-out port complete this state-of-the-art gadgetry that is expected to come out anytime from late this year to early 2009.
