
General Mobile presented GM500, its wristwatch-type GSM mobile phone during CeBIT 2008.
Measuring only 58.1 x 44.2 x 16.4 mm and weighing 142g(battery and metal wristband included), the GM500 is definitely among the smallest GSM mobile phones ever created. The tiny cell watch can act like a hands-free for sporty people, providing flexibility in any situation.
The usability of the phone has been improved by including touchscreen technology with an 1.5 inch OLED display. The GM500 is also a tri-band GSM device(900, 1800 and 1900 MHz) that comes with GPRS, WAP, internet capabilities, Bluetooth and USB data transfer, mp3 playback, video player (MPEG4 and 3GP) and voice recorder.
Furthermore, it has 128MB of built-in memory and can store 300 phonebook entries. Its 400 mAh Li-ion battery is capable of providing 120 minutes of talk time and about 80 hours of stand-by time.
The GM500 is expected to be available in 2Q of 2008, and suggested retail price is 599(EUR).
