FCC(Federal Communications Commission) has approved a new Philips Xenium handset with enhanced battery life. It is marked 9@9u and unlike the 9@9k it’s not that long lasting ensuring “only” one month standby and up to 8 hours of talks on a single charge.

The FCC materials provide some specs of the phone. The Xenium 9@9u works in GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 MHz networks and comes with a 262K color display, an FM-radio, an MP3-player, a 2-megapixel camera, an expansion slot for microSD cards, Bluetooth and USB.xenium99u2.jpg
