Mio Technology has just launched the latest A501 smartphone that packs in a SiRFStar III GPS chipset for navigation purposes, along with maps of 22 European countries and thousands upon thousands of Points of Interest. It is disappointing that Mio has not included Windows Mobile 6.0 with the A501, instead prefering to run on Windows Mobile 5.0. Connectivity options stop at EDGE, so the lack of 3G is yet another downside to the A501. A 2 megapixel camera with flash and an SD/MMC memory card slot.mio501.jpgmio501a.jpg
